Pional takes things in stride. And we like that. Despite the enthusiastic response towards “A Moot Point”, his debut on our label, he has kept it low. Locked in his studio, with his mic and his machines, recording non-stop but being extremely picky about what he chooses to release. That's why we are a tremendously thrilled about introducing you to "We Have Been Waiting For You", a song that has been blowing us away since the first time we heard it.
This time we say “song” for real. In this occasion, Mike Barros crosses chamber-pop with a deep-house background and discoid rhythms. The result is a gem that leads us to a highly emotional state through pianos, strings and his own voice. As if Owen Pallet was produced by some house luminary, Pional combines moody melodies with cinematic arrangements creating a nocturnal atmosphere, shady and melancholic but profoundly danceable. A song that hits the target of emotion, but that also invites to have fun.
A release like this deserves, at least, two things: 1) Great remixers, 2) A nice 12” vinyl. And that's what we got. For the remixers we've count with two very different producers that we admire equally. In first term, Gavin Russom; the synth master, the man behind Black Meteoric Star and The Crystal Ark, the guru of sound modulation. His remix is an analogical arpeggios feast that, combined with the original voices takes the song to an acid-ciberdelic land. He adds tension and revamps the track's feeling to transform it into an hypnotic monster ideal for your psychedelic evenings. Blue Daisy, in the other hand, goes to the opposite end. The cosmic beats wizard reduces the tempo, wraps the voices and pianos in tons of reverb and adds home-grown melodies that endow the song with a spacey atmosphere; buoyant and full of magic. Two remixes from very different prisms but connected by the greatness of a song fated to remain timeless.
Once again the release comes in a nice and glossy vinyl, matched with a wonderful design by the talented Arnau Pi. For this, and because of the music it contains, we're specially excited with this one. We hope you like it, at least, as much as we do. We'll be back soon, with more music and some new 12”s.

We Have Been Waiting For You”.

I’m not sure why but this blog is loading incredibly slow for me.
Is anyone else having this issue or is it a problem on my end?
I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.
