Hivern Discs returns with the upcoming talent Alt Fenster. Born in Madrid 22 years ago, Miguel Barros has it all to become one of spain´s key producers. His track “Clipeé” is a good example of it.
Besides being of the best techno tracks we have heard in recent months, “Clipeé” has the rare virtue of sounding classic and fresh at once. Combining Detroit´s techno heritage with contemporary production techniques, Fenster comes up with a song that not only will shake dance floors but also play on your domestic player without ever getting you tired. A playful piano, epic strings and an enormous bass line. No more is needed.
The release is completed with remixes from Hivern´s own “all-stars”: d.a.r.y.l., MouseUp and John Talabot. D.a.r.y.l. gives his personal stamp with a cosmic arpeggio that gives the track a new personality keeping it’s essence and strength (or even increasing it). MouseUp proves his reliability once again with one of his best remixes so far. This time he takes “Clipeé” to a wonderful trip somewhere between house and trance with a rough bassline and heavenly pads. John Talabot, meanwhile, hits the target one more time. In this occasion, he gives his trademark soul-house a rest to construct a raw, psychotic and obsessive remix. With the piano in hands of a sick pianist and adding percussion and claps with tons of delay, the track builds up a dramatic tension that explodes in a breathtaking second half.
We hope you like it. We’ll be back soon in a spring filled with releases and new signings.
